How and why to use Issuance Insurance

Issuance Insurance is a means to ensure that you are always able to reissue an SSL Certificate without having to purchase an entirely new one. Circumstances like losing or misplacing your Private Key, or requiring the SSL Certificate reissued to install on a new server arise often and having Issuance Insurance covers these needs.

Currently, all products sold by Trustico® come with Issuance Insurance upon purchase, however many other companies and potentially future products offered by Trustico® require an additional fee for the SSL Certificate to include Issuance Insurance.

If you are a Trustico® customer and you have an SSL Certificate with Issuance Insurance, making use of it is simple. It is a simple reissue process that will differ slightly depending on whether you are reissuing as a retail client or reissuing as a reseller.
