Order statuses and their meanings

When checking an order in the Trustico® portal you will notice that each order has a status associated with it. These statuses are pulled directly from the Certificate Authority to provide a better understand of what is pending up until the order is issued.

You can view the order status for an order in your Trustico® portal at any time.

Unpaid

If your order status shows as Unpaid, then your order has been saved into the system but has not yet been submitted to the Certificate Authority for validation.

Before this can happen, payment needs to be made for the order. Payment can be made through Credit Card, Paypal, or bank deposit.

If you require assistance with making payment, please review our payment options article: How Do I Make Payment?

Queued

The queued order status means that the order has been paid for but has not yet been submitted to the Certificate Authority. This can happen for a variety of reasons including but not limited to the following:

If an order gains the queued status, the members of our technical team are notified and will begin working to remove the queued order status. Please feel free to contact our support team if you notice your order is queued to ensure that any issues are resolved quickly. Contact Us

Processing

The processing order status means that your order is currently pending validation by the Certificate Authority. Depending on which form of SSL Certificate you have purchased (DV/OV/EV), the validation procedure will differ.

DV

This will require proof of domain control via an Approver E-mail, HTTP File validation, or DNS CNAME Record validation.

OV & EV

These will require proof of domain control as well as organization verification and a Telephone Verification Call.

Our validation team will keep in contact with you to ensure that you are aware of what needs to be completed and will assist you with its completion.

Pending Reissue

The pending reissue status is almost identical to processing. The order is pending completion of validation. However, in this case the SSL Certificate has been updated with a new Key Pair (Certificate Signing Request and Private Key).

Completed

If your order is showing as completed, then no further action needs to be taken. Your SSL Certificate has been issued and is ready to be installed. Upon completion, the SSL Certificate and Intermediate CA Bundle will have been E-Mailed to you in PEM format via the administrative E-Mail address on the order.

PEM can easily be converted to other file types with the following guides:

PEM to CRT
PEM to CER

Canceled

This status means that the order has been canceled by either Trustico® or the Certificate Authority. If you are unsure as to why your order has been canceled, please feel free to contact us and our Support Team will happily assist you with any inquiries.

Refunded

If you have received either a refund or a fund transfer from one order to another, then the order will show this status. If you are unsure as to why your order has been refunded, please feel free to contact us and our Support Team will happily assist you with any inquiries.
